The Advanced Defensive Handgun "Street Smart Survival Tactics" 5-Day Classroom and Range CCW Qualification will have the certifications & range time required to apply for CCW licenses/permits issued from Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Idaho Enhance, Florida, and Virginia.
Day #1: DEFENSIVE HANDGUN SAFETY & GEAR SELECTION. What is the best gun for personal defense? You will learn a proven formula for choosing a defensive handgun that will work for YOU. This is the foundation of firearm safety for everyone. If you plan to take on the responsibility of owning a Defensive Firearm, then you also have the responsibility of firearm safety for yourself, and all those in your household. On this day, you will come away with proven strategies for choosing your defensive handgun, ammo, holsters, and concealment garments PLUS a safety plan for the whole family.
Day #2: GUN LAWS AND THE JUDICIOUS USE OF DEADLY FORCE. This is our most popular class. If you are ever forced to USE your handgun to defend your life, and the lives of your loved ones, you must KNOW and UNDERSTAND the laws and protocols surrounding personal defense. TO SHOOT … or … NOT TO SHOOT? That is the question! Knowing HOW to shoot the gun may be the easy part… the part that saves your life. But understanding WHEN, and more importantly: when NOT to use deadly force is the knowledge that will keep you on the right side of the law.
Day #3: THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SHOOTING A DEFENSIVE HANDGUN. Live-fire handgun instruction on the range. On this first day of live-fire, you will explore the basics of a strong and comfortable stance coupled with an effective grip on the handgun. With gun safety always in mind, you will shoot at varying distances as your confidence and accuracy improves. Everyone will benefit from confirming solid safety protocols and finding a grip that will control the gun.
Day #4: LIVE-FIRE RANGE SKILL BUILDER.
On the second range day, you will move forward with the confidence of a solid grip & stance and shoot with repetition, using a handgun you are now comfortable with. Continued coaching will continue to build on your accuracy. The repetition of getting accurate rounds on target, with attention to a proper grip will build your shooting skills in preparation for the live-fire range qualification. Solid, proven training, coupled with a reliable handgun, will give you the best shot on Qualification Day.
Day #5: LIVE-FIRE RANGE QUALIFICATION DAY.
This is the documented and scored Range Qualification that is universally accepted in almost every state that requires a live-fire range qualification for their concealed carry permit application. This Documented Day will also provide you with a solid record of your safe & accurate handgun training that may help you qualify for membership/use of other ranges and/or other advanced firearm classes. If you are ever forced to use a gun to defend yourself from an inescapable threat, this is part of the documented paper trail that your legal counsel will need in preparation for your defense.
